Why Religion cannot help the Human Race.

I recently  saw some  video that had an atheistic world view and was basically teaching that religion sucks. The video featured world religions and religious people fighting against themselves as to who God is and how He should be related to because apparently, He spoke to them all.

Well, in as much as I  found it quite “interesting” it reminded me of the that fact  the supernatural is real and religion cannot save the human race.

“Favour, how can you say that, you have a religion”?

No, I don’t have a religion. I have a way of life that is based on my relationship with Jesus.

While lots of people try to earn God’s love through religion. I rest in the fact that I am loved and I chill in that knowledge.

C’mon, you know knowledge is power, yeah?

Even the Bible says ” My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge“ Hosea 4:6a

Am I saying I am better that everyone else who doesn’t have a relationship with Jesus?

NO!

It is only by GRACE that I have a relationship with Jesus.  It is a GIFT! It certainly doesn’t make me better than other people, however, IT GIVES ME AN ADVANTAGE OF DEPENDING ON GOD that lots of people don’t have because  sadly, they don’t have a relationship with Him.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV)

You too can enter into a relationship with Jesus, as long as you are willing to receive Him.

In His goodness, He has revealed Himself to me and taught me that I don’t have to earn Him because He is already mine.

Of course, I have to keep cultivating my relationship with Him,like I would do for any other relationship.

“Favour, what makes your “relationship with Jesus different” than other people’s relationships with their gods.

Well,besides the fact that those aren’t relationships but religion, which is trying to earn God’s love and forgiveness by human strength.  No other proponent of “religion” claimed to be THE WAY to God ,THE  TRUTH   and  THE LIFE that gives Eternal life.  John 14:6

“Favour, am I  supposed to just take your word for it”?

No! Read the bible sincerely and you’d get some answers. You might not get all  answers though,because you need faith too. Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

BUT! You really have nothing to lose, if you hear Him and choose to follow HIm.

Instead, you have everything to gain.

And if you already have a relationship with Jesus and find yourself, struggling to earn God’s love. Stop it!

Rest in knowing that Jesus loves you!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.– John 3:16 (KJV)

Live your life in Faith, TRUSTING GOD and forget the fear of the unknown because,

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment” 1 John4:18a (NKJV)
