Why you should not give in to temptation

“All who found them devoured them. Their enemies said, ‘We did nothing wrong in attacking them, for they sinned against the Lord, their true place of rest, and the hope of their ancestors.’”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭50‬:‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This bible verse above is why you shouldn’t go against the laws of God. God was not trying to be mean when He gave us the Commandments in the Scriptures. No, He is just a loving father trying to protect us.

This, of course, applies to people who have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If you do not have an active relationship with your creator, I want to invite you to do that this minute by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth the Lordship of Jesus over your life. Just be honest and vulnerable with Him.

Also, being tempted does not equate to sinning. I know those evil thoughts cross your mind from time to time, but they aren’t from you. They are from the wicked one. Do not take ownership of them. We are in a spiritual battle.

Even Jesus was tempted by evil (Luke 4), but He countered it with the scriptures. So I want to encourage you to keep standing despite the temptation you are currently experiencing. Please do not give in, Satan’s plan for you is to expose yourself so that he can attack your life and make your life a living hell.

You are more than a conqueror. You win because He won. Keep hiding His word in your heart.

Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You!- Psalm 119:11 (NKJV)
