We missed the bus

In our recent role as parents, my husband and I are quickly learning the importance of leaving the house as early as possible in order to catch the bus.

However, we have failed to catch up with the bus several times and in one of our ‘missing the bus episodes’, we decided not to go back home. We were going to church that morning and I wasn’t going to waste my ‘make up’ by going home (don’t judge me).😅

So we decided to take the train and a trip that usually took us about 45 minutes by the bus ended up taking about 1hour 30 minutes because we took the train. We were super exhausted by the time we got to church but it was worth it😁.

So what’s the point of my story? The story reminds me of what Jesus said in Luke 9 vs 62 “But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

I hope that as you read this blog, you are already part of the kingdom of God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and your saviour. If you’ve made that decision, you most likely have realised that things would not be rosy all the time just because you are a Christian. I am therefore here to encourage you to keep going. It might be difficult, it might be exhausting but you have the Holy Spirit and the results would be so worth it. So don’t look back, the world is not more attractive, infact the world will end up bringing pain and death. So keep pursuing Jesus, keep walking with the Lord. Don’t look back, you will be so glad you did.

You are loved, Favour
