This is why you are discouraged

You are discouraged because although God has promised you his plans for you, you keep looking at everyone and everything else but those promises.

I would be the first to admit that it takes incredible discipline and focus to birth the promises of God by faith. Trust me , I know the faith journey is not a walk in the park but what you cannot afford is to let your heart get sick. It will weigh you down and make your feet heavy to climb your high places.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life- proverbs 13:12

So my encouragement today is to continue to fix your eyes on the one who started and finished your race. Yes, I used the past tense because as far as God is concerned, it is a done deal and you just need to catch up. “looking unto Jesus, the ^[a]author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God- Hebrews 12:2

He who has started the work will finish it. Turn your eyes back to the one who started the journey you are on.
