The Practicality of Faith

My friends know me to ask “so what is God teaching you”? or what did God tell you today? Therefore, today I would like to share what the Lord has been teaching me these days.

Two Things:

  •  FAITH IS PRACTICAL
  •  FAITH IS PATIENT

Faith is Practical:

For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.(James 2:26)

Let me start by saying, Faith is not an excuse to be Lazy. My bestie is always asking me “Favour, what is your plan”?

So  now I am asking you ,dear friend what is your plan?

You may say “I am trusting the Lord” but let me ask you, on what exactly are you trusting the Lord for? What effort are you putting  for the Father to bless?

A preacher said  that you need to pray, plan and trust God  and   Proverbs 16:3 says to plan and commit your ways to God.

Of course God can work without your effort but let faith not become an excuse to be lazy. You cannot have faith and expect God to bless you financially without work. Abraham had sex with his wife (Work),God blessed his effort  with Isaac after 25 years and because of his faith, he was made righteous (Heb 11)

Faith is not Stupid! Don’t do stupid things and call it faith like deliberately drinking poison to prove God’s power.

Faith is Patient:

This then brings me to the second lesson the Lord is teaching me in this season. FAITH IS PATIENT!!!

Love waits(1 Corinthians 13:4) and so does Faith. Because you love God and know that He cannot lie therefore you will wait on Him.

Because you love God and know that He has told you that He was bruised for you, the punishment for your peace was put upon Him and by His stripes you have been made whole (Isaiah 53:5)  then you will stand and act on His word as  you receive your healing.

For the vision is yet for the appointed time;
it testifies about the end and will not lie.
Though it delays, wait for it,
since it will certainly come and not be late- Habakkuk 2:3

Just because you tell God you need stuff now, doesn’t mean you’ll get it right now. You must act on God’s word and be patient about it! God cannot be pressured or blackmailed.

Thank Him as you wait because He has already done what you asked for (Mark 11:23-24).

You are loved and highly longed for,

Favour

Awesome, thanks Favour for availing yourself a yielded vessel in God’s hands for our generation, this is an awesome delivery of the word, a total dichotomy of the spirit, soul and body in one class, God bless you richly.
