The fearfulness of God and His mercy

“I was angry with My people; I have profaned My inheritance, And given them into your hand. You showed them no mercy; On the elderly, you laid your yoke very heavily.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭47‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“After the Lord has used the king of Assyria to accomplish his purposes on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, he will turn against the king of Assyria and punish him—for he is proud and arrogant. Isaiah 10:12 NLT

Whenever I read the Old Testament prophets, I always come out with the idea that -God is to be feared. He is not to be toyed with. In fact someone said that we are too familiar with a God that we barely know.

I know the scriptures tell us about Him, so we must read scripture daily. However, it is important to reiterate that He is not your mate. He is a very fearful and powerful being.

One particular thing I find fearful about God is how He treats people, which He uses to bring judgment. This is why with the news of many leaders in the body of Christ falling, it is amazing to see how members of the body continue to be mean and unmerciful. Spewing bitterness and meanness. It is almost as if they were waiting for the fall.

See, the only difference between you and the person whose sin has been exposed is mercy. You are only standing and covered by MERCY. Be careful, lest God turn on you. Repent today and live in His fear.

You have been bought with a price.

Have a blessed day,

Your sister,

Favour
