See you in the morning

Yesterday I told a friend ‘have a nice night’. Then it occurred to me that people usually think of the night as a bad thing.  The night is dark and evil people operate in the night. I guess this is why it is be scary to think about. I also believe this is why we use the phrase ‘Joy comes in the morning’ as a means to encourage. But what if the night we are experiencing is just time to rest.

I mean, most people sleep at night which is a form of resting your body. So what if the night season that God has called us to  is just to rest. Now it is important to note that although not all night seasons are from God, He however allows us experience them. He (through the Holy Spirit) led Jesus in luke 4 to a wilderness experience which was sort of a ‘night season’. What did the Lord do there? He fasted and prayed. He spent time with His Father as led by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead us to do the will of the Father. Since  the world is currently experiencing a night season, What is God asking you to do in this current night season?

Has He asked you to worship and seek Him but instead you are sleeping or lazying around? Has He told you rest but instead, you are busy panicking? Just do what He asks you to do and have a nice night. See you in the morning.
