It starts with a peck
It becomes a kiss
We are not having sex
We are just kissing
Yes, we are not married
But who decides whether we can or cannot kiss
It is a harmless kiss because of the lust we share
Television says it okay
The society says it is okay
My body says it is okay
Everybody is doing it
So it is okay
I sleep over at his house
Clean, cook for him
I wash his clothes and play house
Perhaps he will see the wife in me and propose
I forget that my body is the temple
The temple of the highest God
The temple Jesus came to redeem
The temple I must present as a living sacrifice
Taking part of the Lord’s body
Joining it to a man who hasn’t said the words……I do
A man who most likely keeps me to the side
Because I confuse love with lust
I forget that I am precious
I forget that the good Lord considers me so precious
That he sent His son
His only child to die in my stead

No! This has to stop!
It is no longer mine
No long my body
But part of Jesus’s bride
I will go back to Father
In repentance and Faith
To live out His plan and purpose
Because I am loved
