Is There Space?

I purchase water like most people who live outside of the major cities in Nigeria. Last night it rained and I tried to take containers out in order to get water and save money however, it occurred to me that most of the containers were full.Thus, I could not get as much rain water because I had “bought water”.
The Holy Spirit then ministered to my heart that He wants to do so much for His children but there is no space. He wants to help His children grow spiritually but there is no word of God rather hearts are full of anger, unforgiveness, worry and so much that He doesn’t approve of.
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit—the Father will send Him in My name—will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.John 14:26(HCSB)
Without God’s word in your heart what will you be reminded of?
How will you grow from everything the Holy Spirit will teach you when there is no space? How will you learn from the great Teacher if your mind is cluttered with vain things that will pass? You need to empty your heart, drop the distractions and focus on the Creator – ELOHIM.
“But Favour, that TV show is just interesting and harmless”
Yes, it is doing you no harm, only making you accept certain values that God disapproves of in His word.
It is so easy to sing
“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters wherever you would call me…. “
But there is no sign that you want to be led besides your singing the song.
The bible says;
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, double-minded people!” James 4:8 (HCSB)
Not “sing near to Him and He’ll draw near to you”.
God is not just interested in saving you which He did 2016 years ago through Jesus but He is also interested in a relationship with you.
Therefore, you need make Him the centre of your life. Every other thing you do should revolve around your relationship with Jesus!
“No one can be a slave of two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other”. Matthew 6:24a (HCSB)
He wants to indeed be LORD over your LIFE. You should let Him!
