How to be perfect!

 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48 (NKJV)

Well let’s start by defining the verb “PERFECT”.

The word perfect  basically means “to make (something or someone) completely free from faults or defects; make as good as possible”.

Most people are of the opinion that it is impossible to be perfect,especially because we are “human”( Whatever being human means)

I beg to differ, because Jesus who is God would not have told us to be perfect if it was impossible to be perfect. I mean God knows everything (what we can achieve and what we can’t achieve).

The bible tells us that Jesus was without sin. In other words  HE WAS PERFECT!

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.Heb 4:15 (NKJV)

But He became imperfect for a while so that we can be made perfect, He took our place. He took your place for a moment so that you could become perfect.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Therefore,  the only way to become perfect is to live in Jesus.

How?

Get cleansed with His blood.

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 john 1:7 (NKJV)

So basically, the only way you get can get perfect is to accept Jesus the one who is perfect and live in HIS perfection.

See, Jesus is calling out to you. He loves you so much.

He wants you to give your life to Him.

You can be perfect in Him! That’s the only way to go.
