Each Day As It Comes

Growing up, my mum used to say tomorrow would take care of itself. I have come to realise that, it is actually the best way to look at life. Everyday has its own trouble.it is therefore unwise to begin to bother about the trouble of next month, when this month hasn’t even finished.

25 “Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27 And who of you by worrying can add one hour to [the length of] his life? 28 And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin [wool to make clothing], 29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed himself like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive and green today and tomorrow is [cut and] thrown [as fuel] into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31 Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ 32 For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.

34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.Matthew 6:25-34 (AMP)

I am at a stage that is called quarter life and it almost usually comes with “quarter-life crises”. I have had and still have to make lots of important decisions in very little time and I sometimes find myself worrying about my plans and if they would turn out as planned. When I am not worrying about that, I get concerned with trying to develop plan B and C. When I am not doing that, I find myself getting stressed about the present.

I know yeah? I almost forget to enjoy the present,forgetting that where God has put me now is just as important as where He is taking me.

After talking to my friends, I certainly don’t think it’s just me. I think we all fall into that place and God has to constantly keep reminding us as we walk with Him, that He is in control.

You will have that job, you’ll meet that great guy or girl but see, enjoy where you are now. God is preparing you constantly for His glory.

Tomorrow has enough trouble of its own. Please don’t get distracted and lose sight of the Saviour.

Life is already quite challenging even as a follower of Jesus. However, I have hope and it is in Jesus. This hope reminds me of the fact that this life is temporary and in about fifty to sixty years tops, I’ll be out of this planet.

As for man, his days are like grass;
Like a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
For the wind passes over it and it is no more,
And its place knows it no longer.- Psalm 103:15-16 (AMP)

I also have faith that Jesus is journeying through this life with me. Trust me, His presence makes a difference!

If you don’t have His presence,consider giving yourself to Him today.

You are loved!
