Did you learn to love?

I can imagine Jesus Christ asking lots of us the question “Did you learn to Love? ” when we stand before Him. Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin said Love is the way to victory and he was in no way wrong. Jesus has called us to LOVE. This is the new covenant :”I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another”. John 13:34. Are you learning to love?The bible tells us that “Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth]”.
See,  love will never fail because God is Love . How many of us can honestly say that this is the motive everyday?That power to do signs, wonders and miracles you keep asking the Lord for, is it to extend love to fellow humans? Or is it from a place of pride. “So that they will know that I am also spiritual”. But Favour, what happens to people doing miracles without love? See, the Bible tells us that by love, men would know we are disciples of Christ. It is not by announcing your faith. Love is very important to God, no wonder He said love your enemies and pray for those that despitefully use you. You must love. Love is not weakness, you mustn’t always “change it for them” or “give it back to them”. It is not about you. It is about Jesus. Your life stopped being about you when you received the life of Jesus. Are you learning to love?
Make this your priority and be reduced to love. This is the Maker’s desire for us. That we love. The Holy Spirit is our help. He is present to teach us to love. Allow Him to support you today.
