Called to stand out

We neee to build character , infact people will know we are God’s children by our fruits (our character) (Matthew 7:15-20,Galatians 5:22-23). They will know us by how we relate with people, how we carry ourselves and how we treat humanity.

However, God hasn’t called us to live in timidity and fear. We are called to live not intimidated by this world. Why should you be ashamed to say you are a virgin? Why should you be ashamed to say you don’t watch movies with cursing and perversion? The world lives with open defiance to God. You should live with open obedience to God.

Every opportunity to interact with non-believers should be seen as an opportunity to show them the Father’s heart. A simple ‘Can I pray with you?’ is enough. When we obey God, He enables us walk in the power of the Spirit. But if we live in fear and timidity of what the world will say or how we look to the world, we won’t be able to display His power and authority. We will constantly be tormented by the fear of man.

When I first came to you, dear brothers and sisters, I didn’t use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you God’s secret plan. For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified. I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:1‭-‬5 (NLT)

May the Lord help us in Jesus name. Amen.

You are loved,

Favour
