Are you hidden?

I cannot count the number of times I thought something was wrong with me in uni 🙄 – where were all the brothers? I had always been confident in my beauty since I had previously had several men ‘hit on’ me, but when I got to university, they just stopped coming.

First semester went by, nothing happened. Second semester followed, nothing happened… Hian, the year passed just like that and no guy was even looking at me. Ah ah, Favour what is happening? Did you suddenly lose your beauty as you stepped into Kenya? I thought to myself..😂😂

The thing I did not realise at the time was that God in His mercy hid me to help me avoid distraction. You know, many women pray to be hidden from distracting men, lol.. I did not need to pray, God mercifully hid me and removed the veil after university.

In retrospect, (after graduating university about 5 years ago) I can surely say that it was a good thing I was hidden😁. So why am I telling this story?

You might be wondering and asking yourself, why your solution is not working, even after you’ve tried everything to expand that business, have children or get married. Instead of struggling with the waters, why don’t you just allow yourself float and allow God do His work in you? If God doesn’t want that thing to work, no matter the effort you put in, it will fail! No one gets anything or anywhere that has not be ordained by God.

Psalm 28:7 ESV
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.

So right now, I encourage you to breath in and out, draw near to Jesus and allow Him hide you. He will soon show you off 😉.
