Love and Power

“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death” Philippians 3:10 (NKJV)

I prayed the above prayer for a while in relation to ” Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart”  Psalm 37:4

Since the Philippians’ prayer was apostle Paul’s desire that has become my desire and it’s amazing how the lord started to teach me about His power and His love.

Love is  definitely Power!

God is Love and He is definitely Power personified.

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:8 (NKJV)

Reading through the Bible, almost every time Jesus performed a miracle, the Bible records that He had compassion on them. Matthew 9:36,Matthew 6:34, Matthew 14:14.

Compassion literally means “to suffer together“

Why?

Because of Love 🙂

It was His love that made Jesus  come to this realm to die and be resurrected for humanity!

It was His love that made Peter, Paul and the rest of the early apostles travel to places where they’d be tortured and eventually killed!

Because of the love in their heart for humanity and for the Father, they were  enabled to fulfill God’s purpose for them after which He honoured them.

The Bible tells me that

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” 2 Tim 1:7 (NKJV)

The above scripture also shows that love is also variation of power.

Therefore, my advice based on God’s word is ;

Stop being so vengeful,judgmental and unfocused but focus on being a channel of God’s love and see yourself increase in the experience of the supernatural and in His power!

If you don’t know Jesus, He knows you!

So totally get to know this person that knows all about you. Your fears, your aspiration and your dreams.
