I realise that after writing this post, I will lose lots of friends but then it’s really not about you or me. It’s about Jesus!
Do you claim to be a follower of Jesus, tongue speaking, saved and sanctified? Then please act like it. Let your confession match your action.
I hear lots of stories of how it is becoming a common trend for young women to DELIBERATELY get pregnant before marriage.
I acknowledge that it can happen to anybody and it is only by grace that we stand! So no, I am not trying to be judgemental or “holierthanthou”.
But see what the Word says,
So then, my dear ones, just as you have always obeyed [my instructions with enthusiasm], not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, continue to work out your salvation [that is, cultivate it, bring it to full effect, actively pursue spiritual maturity] with awe-inspired fear and trembling [using serious caution and critical self-evaluation to avoid anything that might offend God or discredit the name of Christ] (Philippians 2:12 AMP)
I was reading a story the other day of a woman who was forced by an Anglican church to wear yellow on her wedding day because they found out she was pregnant. The writer of the article ended by saying that, there should be “testing” before the “eating” because some people have had some bad experiences.
Please, if we say we are Christians (Followers of Jesus) then let’s not take half and leave half. Let’s not take “God will bless you” and leave “Do not be immoral”. What happened to trusting Jesus? See, it is not by force to follow Jesus. God loves you but He is not going to force you! So if you claim to follow Him, then be action as well as talk.
Everyone is doing it doesn’t give you leverage to also do. You are different! Your life is not about you, it is about Jesus! Things are really bad in Nigeria right now but I just want to encourage you to allow Jesus shine His light through you.
Please Allow HIM to use you for His glory, as you shine His light.
If you don’t know Him, get to meet Him today. Jesus definitely wants to meet you.
He is important now and after you die (which is inevitable)
Exercise daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please! Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever. 1 Timothy 4:8(The Msg)
You are loved,
