What are you going to do?

So I have had lots of questions on what it feels like to be a pastor’s kid (PK) and today I just want to share a little of my experience.

I know that lots of people are of the opinion that pastor’s kids are wayward and just plain rebellious, while that might be the case for some of us. Many of us are actually focused and very in love with Jesus.
Teenagers have rebellious phases and I wasn’t different. Which resulted to my parents, being “African parents”, trying to instill and “force” me to love Jesus. Well I say” force” because at that time that’s what it felt like. I’d go for bible studies or prayer meetings to sleep and not necessarily participate in the program.
Then of course, there was peer pressure and the fact that I felt I was being forced did not really help but as I kept growing ,I gave Jesus my life and  the lord kept pulling me to Himself and now I can say it’s been a wonderful journey.
You know, we are not all bad. Most of my friends are minister’s children and are doing wonderful things for Jesus. Pastor’s kids are human beings too, not angels and we make mistakes. Growing up, I have had situations where  I committed some “atrocities” and I’d get remarks like “hmmmm, Pastor’s child” or “Omo pastor”( meaning -pastor’s child in Yoruba language)
Definitely some of us have turned out bad but it wasn’t necessarily because their parents weren’t there or didn’t train them well. In my opinion I’d say it was because the individual made a CHOICE.
Now, I am not saying I am who I am today by my power, NOT AT ALL. It has been only through the GRACE of Jesus.

Rom 6:14 (NKJV)

 ^“For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace”.

God never tempers with our will or choice and if you choose not to follow Him. He would not force you. IT’S TOTALLY UP TO YOU! Therefore, whether those people were pastor’s kids or not they’ll still have turned out the same way because they made their CHOICE.

I used to hate being a pastor’s kid but now I “loveeeeee” it. You know, it’s a privilege to come from parents that have been chosen to serve in God’s vineyard.

It has been super awesome to be born, bred, buttered and sugared in a pastor’s family. I had the privilege of meeting my Savior early and living my life for Him.

I have made my CHOICE to follow Jesus to the end. He cannot fail. He would never fail plus He really blesses those who are obediently submitted to Him.

Job 36:11 (NKJV)

If they obey and serve Him,
They shall spend their days in prosperity,
And their years in pleasures.

This is just my example but whoever you are, You’ve got a CHOICE to make, to Please JESUS or Yourself.

THE OUTCOME OF TOMORROW IS BUILT ON TODAY’S CHOICE.

Therefore, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ? Are you going to allow Jesus pick you up and clean you?

Yes,you definitely should.That’s the way to go.

Heaven and Hell are real places!

Choose Jesus today, He loves you.

Give Him you.

Jesus loves you immeasurably,
